Educational Background
Heidi graduated at the top of her class with honors from Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU) in 1999. During her nursing education, she was a member of Sigma Theta Tau, Alpha Zeta Pi Chapter (now Beta Psi), the international honor society of nursing.
Prior to OHSU, Heidi completed her nursing prerequisites at Rogue Community College (RCC). During her studies at RCC, Heidi was a member of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society of two-year colleges.
Personal Profile
Heidi married Thomas Nielsen in 1998. They have two daughters, Megan and Averie. Heidi has practiced nursing since 1999 and is currently the assistant director of the local public health department. Heidi enjoys participating as an active member at her local church, photography, reading, and spending quality time with her family. Heidi and her family reside in rural Anaconda, Montana.
